Joe AllegraJoe Allegra is a General Partner at Edison Partners and actively leads investments in enterprise cloud and mobile wireless applications—supply chain, HR and cloud infrastructure. As a board member and with experience serving on over two dozen boards, Joe contributes marketing, sales, technology and general management expertise from several perspectives—as a seasoned software industry professional, an entrepreneur and a growth equity investor. Prior to joining Edison Partners, Joe was co-founder and CEO of Princeton Softech, a rapidly growing, profitable company that developed and marketed database products to Fortune 1000 companies. Under his guidance, Princeton Softech was twice named to the INC. 500 list of fastest growing companies on the way to a successful exit. Joe was awarded the New Jersey Technology Council (NJTC) Technology Supporter Award in 2003, and was also a finalist for Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year. He co-founded the Software Association of New Jersey and served as Chairman of the New Jersey Technology Council, as well as led the initial financing for NJTC Venture Fund.
Michael DonahueMichael J. Donahue serves as a business advisor, board director and investor with technology, media and industrial companies. Mike works as a consultant for growth companies and private equity funds and advises several public and privately-held enterprises on their business and technology strategy. Mike has served on 17 boards of directors (12 private, five publicly-held), ranging in size from the $30 billion (in market cap) Air Products and $25 billion (in revenue) “Big 4” accounting firm KPMG to several growth stage technology firms. Presently he serves as an independent director of four companies with $20 million to $500 million in revenues: Mobiquity, a Massachusetts-based mobile technology and services company; Beneficial (NASDAQ: BNCL) a mid-Atlantic regional financial services firm; Preferred Sands, a Pennsylvania-based energy services outfit; and SiteSpect, a web marketing and optimization software business located in Boston. In addition to his board service, Mike has served as an advisor to more than 50 companies and been involved with more than 100 merger and acquisition transactions.
Tate PursellTate Pursell has more than 30 years as a senior operating executive, board member, and private equity principal. Co-founder and senior advisor of Unlimited Horizons Inc. - an independent private equity sponsor investing in manufacturers and distributors of consumer durables, building and construction products, and industrial products. Currently an independent director of Barton Group, a family-owned materials and manufacturing company. Tate has served on nine other boards of directors (four PE-owned, two private, and three non-profit, and was corporate secretary of three of those). Previously, Group President for private equity firm Saunders Karp & Megrue, Operating Partner for private equity firm Cortec Group, and CEO of three operating companies of Masco Corporation -- Baldwin Hardware, American Metal Products, and the Baldwin Home Accent Stores. Worked extensively in Europe, Latin America, and Asia in corporate and PE related leadership roles. Managed acquisitions, restructurings, and industry roll-ups. Previous executive positions with General Electric, Forstmann-Little, and Unilever.
Ellen GradyEllen Grady has more than 25 years of experience counseling executives, directors, corporate boards of directors, entrepreneurs, and businesses in a wide variety of industries and stages of development. In addition, Ellen also has substantial experience in corporate governance, advising public companies regarding SEC and NYSE reporting issues, public company equity and debt issuances, private offerings and corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions. A member of the firm’s Corporate Law practice, Ellen previously served as corporate counsel at Safeguard Scientific, Inc., where she was responsible for SEC public company reporting, New York Stock Exchange listed company compliance, corporate governance, board functionality and corporate contracts. Ellen is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School and received her undergraduate degree from Allegheny College. She is a member of the American Bar Association's (ABA) Business Law Section Committee on Corporate Governance, co-chair of the ABA Corporate Governance Corporate Counsel Sub-committee and a co-editor of CGC InSight, the quarterly publication of the ABA Corporate Governance Committee regarding current topics in corporate governance. She is admitted to active practice in Pennsylvania and Virginia.
